Is fascinating when you begin to study the history of the Indian basket making and the use of baskets that actually began centuries ago and is one of the greatest art forms known in ancient Indian history.

Indian Baskets, woven by tribes like the Pueblo, Apache, Navajo and Tarahumara are famous for their beautiful designs, made hand and development styles. Reading about the baskets, we find that in many Native American tribes, women have the task of basketry and learn art as a child of their mothers. Baskets are used for many things in everyday life of Native Americans and are a source of economic survival for the people.

As will be seen, not only the work indigenous baskets and rustic decor accessories, but also very helpful. Originally, baskets were created by Native Americans as a way of protecting value things such as food, clothing, animal skins, blankets and even water. Hundreds of years ago, Indian tribes changed locations regularly and the means to protect your belongings, while still being able to quickly bring.

Unlike ceramics, the baskets were resistant and did not break. Today, tribes continue to use baskets in their homes and belongings to keep their homes clean and organized. Also serve as a means of income for many tribes, and play an important role in the events and rituals of India, as Navajo wedding ceremonies, and the rights of passage ceremonies.

There are many types of baskets of India and every tribe has its own variations. Southwest, Tarahumara Indian baskets are some of the most coveted in the world and is considered a true art form. The way these baskets are made is truly amazing and very exciting to watch. The two types of baskets this makes the tribe or sotol are cassava, also known as, and baskets of pine needles. Yucca baskets are very popular and are woven in a variety of designs and sizes. Pino baskets are more common in the mountains where the pines are common but are smaller than the baskets of cassava and not as durable.

There are many types of fabric styles Indigenous peoples use in basketry, which differ between tribes. Guari style, popular fabric among the Tarahumara in the north country the mountains of Mexico, is rounded at the top, somewhat square, and has four different corners in the background. The flask is another type of tissue used generally in the regions of the canyon, and is round and often double woven. Sometimes the leaves are processed through a stone to ease the sharp edges before making the basket.
